Framework for Open and Reproducible Research Training (FORRT)

The FORRT (Twitter: @FORRTproject) Community does phenomenal work in developing and disseminating pedagogy on open and reproducible science.

ABRIR and FORRT are working towards the integration of principles of open, reproducible and inclusive scholarship into higher education and raising awareness of its pedagogical and social implications.

Project USPAS

Project USPAS is the first of its kind open science initiative led by underrepresented students for underrepresented students. We provide resources and mentorship to underrepresented students from the global south while improving accessibility and transparency in psychology and allied sciences. We also provide a voice for those from disadvantaged backgrounds including those with disabilities, first-gens, those from lower socio-economic backgrounds and provide an inclusive space for all identities.

ABRIR and Project USPAS partner together to provide resources and mentorship to underrepresented students from the Global South and to improve accessibility and transparency in psychology and allied sciences. 

Psych #rstats club

Psych #rstats club (Twitter: @PsychRStats) is an open-science, collaborative, peer-to-peer learning platform to help you apply statistics and R Programming to Psychology.

ABRIR and Psych #rstats Club are working together towards reducing barriers in learning statistics and R. 

Independent Laboratory of Critical Studies in Psychometrics and Psychological Science

The Independent Laboratory of Critical Studies in Psychometrics and Psychological Science and ABRIR will be working on providing open tutorials and training in psychometrics and measurement.

Open Science Community Serbia (OSCS)

The OSCS (Open Science Community Serbia) promotes good Open Science practices and facilitates cooperation and knowledge exchange between academics, researchers, and librarians in the Republic of Serbia. The OSCS is a part of the INOSC (International Network of Open Science & Scholarship Communities) and was launched in 2021.

ABRIR and OSCS are working towards reducing barriers to Open Science in developing countries.

Arabs in Neuroscience

Arabs in Neuroscience is a community of Arabic speakers passionate about Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Psychiatry, and NeuroAI, aimed at fostering connections, collaboration, and contributions among aspiring Arab neuroscientists. Its goal is to engage Arabic-speaking neuroscientists through hands-on experiences, kick-starting their careers, and to also inspire research collaborations among them and the wider scientific community worldwide, driving meaningful advancements in the field.

ABRIR and Arabs in Neuroscience are working towards reducing barriers to neuroscience research and teaching in developing countries.

Latino-European Social Psychological Network (LaEUMiDI)

LaEUMiDI (Latino-European Social Psychological Network) is hosted by the Migration & Diversity Lab at the University of Limerick (Ireland) under the supervision of Dr. Anca Minescu and in collaboration with Dr. Pablo de Tezanos-Pinto, Global MINDS students and alumni from the Global South, as well as Ph.D. students. The Network is sponsored by EASP (European Association of Social Psychology). They are focused on migration, displacement, and inclusion while connecting researchers from Europe and Latin America. The Migration & Diversity Research Lab is linked to Sanctuary with Psychology project where Masters and PhD researchers from different backgrounds and nationalities, provide socio-psychological support and collaborate with NGOs and communities, in particular working with migrants, refugees, and other ethnic minorities in Ireland. They bring a range of expertise in working with local NGOs and community groups in applying social psychological knowledge to the social inclusion of newcomers to Ireland.
