Karolina Koszałkowska

Karolina Koszałkowska received her Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Lodz, Poland. Although her dissertation was focused on the Dark Triad and the Social Emotional Information Processing model of aggression, she has been involved in projects revolving around disparagement humor, prejudice, morality, social functions of emotions, and social consequences of the pandemic. In other words, she is most interested in how we function as social beings, particularly when we allow our darker and more emotional side to show through.

As both an undergraduate and graduate student, Karolina has been keenly involved in the academic life of her hometown university. As a physically disabled person (and a researcher of prejudice), she understands and recognizes the need for inclusion and representation in many areas of social and public life. Karolina is also committed to academic integrity and is always happy to share knowledge and experiences of open science practices. Besides that, she likes learning and teaching languages, petting and owning cats and hoarding gigabytes of memes on her phone.
