Brendan Ch’ng

Brendan Ch’ng, PhD is currently an Independent Scholar based near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He received his PhD in educational psychology from University of Malaya in Malaysia where he has dedicated his research journey to investigating the underlying mechanisms that support the psychological well-being of individuals with sensory-processing sensitivity.

Brendan’s academic background is a unique blend with an undergraduate degree majoring in psychology and international studies complemented by a master’s in gifted education from Monash University, Australia. His research interests broadly encompass areas of of educational psychology, individual differences, environmental sensitivity, well-being, and higher education. He looks forward to continuing his research in the realm of academia and hopes to enhance representation from Southeast Asia in psychological research with Malaysia’s rich tapestry of ethnic and cultural diversity.
